Morocco has a small but growing paragliding scene. The country offers everything from beginner ridge soaring 45 minutes from Marrakech to serious High Atlas thermalling — and a 12-month season thanks to its varied climate.

Aguergour

Aguergour is the closest site to Marrakech — 45 minutes by car, 1,400 m above sea level, with a south-facing ridge that works year-round on light south wind. It is Morocco's main tandem and training site. A tandem flight costs 700–900 MAD.

Beni Mellal

For experienced pilots, Beni Mellal in the Middle Atlas is Morocco's best XC site — strong thermals from April to October, long ridge lines and a friendly local club.

Legzira Coastal

On the Atlantic coast south of Agadir, the cliffs at Legzira give reliable sea-breeze soaring in summer afternoons.

Logistics

Bring your own gear — rentals are limited. The Royal Moroccan Federation regulates pilot licences; foreign IPPI cards are recognised. Always check NOTAMs near military and royal-property exclusion zones.
