Day 1: Fes – Ifrane – Azrou – Ziz Valley – Erfoud – Merzouga
Departure from your accommodation in Fes towards the Erg Chebbi Merzouga dunes. Cross the magnificent and spectacular landscapes of the Middle Atlas, then go through the Ziz valley and its gorges towards Erfoud to reach the magnificent dunes of Merzouga!
Here will start your camel ride, discover the sand dunes to arrive at the camp in the big dunes of Erg Chebbi, admire the magnificent sunset over the dunes, then spend a quiet night at the camp in nomad tents.
Day 2: Merzoga – Rissani – Alnif – Tzarine – Zagora
Get up early to admire the sunrise in the dunes!
Let’s leave from Merzouga to Zagora via Rissani, visit the big market, then we will follow a beautiful desert road, go through Alnif, Tazarine palm grove, the Hamada, visit the nomads in their tents, know how they live, continue to Zagora to take beautiful photos of the palm grove. Dinner and night in a local hotel.
Day 3: Zagora – Mhamid – Chegaga
We will travel in the direction of Chegaga after your breakfast, we will visit the manuscript library and the pottery workshops in Tamgroute, then we enter more deeply into the Sahara by the road of Tamboukto, we will arrive in Mhamid where the road ends, then we explore the dunes of chegaga to reach the camp at Erg chebbi, you will enjoy beautiful activities in the dunes, see the sunset, sleep in the Berber tents in the camp, see the starry sky of the Sahara. Dinner and overnight in nomadic camp tents.
Day 4: Chegaga – Taznakht – Ait ben haddou – Marrakech
We were heading towards Marrakech, passing through magnificent landscapes, crossing the dry lake, the village Foum Zguid to arrive at Taznakht here you will visit the shops of Berber carpets, then continue to the Kasbah Ait ben hddou, you will enjoy the guided tour of ksar, then we drive to Telou and visit the Glaoui family kasbah, and we cross the spectacular views of the High Atlas. We will arrive at the end of the day in Marrakech.
Day 5: Marrakech – Essaouira
Breakfast and you will visit the historic monuments of the medina, Badi Palace, Bahia, the Jewish quarter, the Koutobia, then we leave Marrakech towards Essaouira, visit the port and the medina, dinner and overnight in a magnificent riad.
Day 6: Essaouira – Casablanca – Rabat
Lunch and the trip will continue to Casablanca, let’s go through Safi, discover the beautiful pottery, and continue to Casablanca, here we will visit the great Hassan II mosque and then reach Rabat. Dinner and night in a hotel.
Day 7: Rabat – Meknes – Volubilis – Chefchaouen
We will visit the Hassan tower and the Kasbah of the Oudayas, then we drive to Meknes, here we will visit the great gate of the medina, from there we go to visit an archaeological site of Roman ruins in volubilis, then continue to Chefchaouen, via the mountain Rif, dinner and night in a beautiful riad.
Day 8: Chefcahouen – Fes
After taking beautiful photos of the medina and walking in the magnificent alleys of Chefchaouen we leave for Fes. We will drop you off at your accommodation. 8 Days Fes to Fes desert trip ends.
