Day 1: Marrakech – Ait ben haddou – Zagora
We will pick you up at your accommodation in Marrakech at 8:00 am. to start the tour to the desert, we cross the spectacular high Atlas mountains via Tizi n tichka 2260m, enjoying its beautiful panramic views, then we will visit the village Telouat and the kasbah of Glaoui, from there we continue via the Ounila valley for reach the Ait ben haddou kasbah, which you visit with a local guide, then our journey to the desert will continue through the city of Ouarzazate, to reach the road to the Draa valley. We stop to take potos in Ait Saouen, then we drive to Agdz, we will visit the Tamnougalt kasbah, and we will follow the Draa valley towards Zagora, here you admire the large palm grove. Dinner and night in a local hotel.
Day 2: Zagora – Taghbalt – Tafraout sidi Ali
Let’s go through desert landscapes to enter a Paris Dakar rally track, also it’s the route of the caravans coming from the south of the Sahara to sell their goods in Rissani, the great souk of Tafilalt. We will spend the night in a local hotel in Tafraout Sidi Ali with dinner.
Day 3: Tafraout sidi Ali – Merzouga
After breakfast we will follow the sandy landscapes, Ramlia, and Ouzina discovery of the sand dunes, we stop at Taouz visit the rock carvings, and continue to Khamliya a village where you will discover the music of the Gnaoua, then we will go to Merzouga, for a camel ride, exploration of the dunes, enjoy the sunset in the Erg Chebbi dunes, sleep in the camp in nomadic tents.
Day 4: Merzouga – Erfoud – Todra gorges – Dades gorges
In the morning you enjoy the sunrise in the dunes! breakfast, and we ride a camel towards Merzouga, we continue towards Rissani, visit the Molay Ali Chrif Alaoui mausoleum, then we will continue to Erfoud, visit the fossil museum, then our desert trip will take us to discover the oases and kasbahs of south east Morocco, go through Jorf, and Tinjdad, we stop in the Todra palm grove to take pictures, and we have lunch at the Todra gorges. In the afternoon we go to Boumalne through Tinghir. We will take beautiful photos of the Dades valley. Dinner and night at homestay in Dades.
Day 5: Dades gorges – Kelaa Mgouna – Skoura – Ouarzazate – Marrakech
We return to Marrakech. We will follow the Dades valley to reach roses city, visit the cosmetic products stores, then cross the valley of Roses with its beautiful fields, towards Skoura, visit the kasbah Amridil, then we will cross the city of Ouarzazate, with a stop in front of the Taourirt kasbah and the Atlas studios. Pass through the high Atlas mountains to arrive at the end of the day in Marrakech.
